ABC Creative Group’s Brew Central Recognized with State Tourism Award

(10/28/15 – Syracuse, N.Y.) ABC Creative Group’s Brew Central campaign for the Central New York Vacation Region continues to attract recognition, adding a seventh award to its trophy case Oct. 22.

The New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) chose Brew Central as recipient of the Excellence in Tourism Marketing Award in the regional category.

The two-year-old campaign brands Central New York as “America’s Craft Brew Destination,” boasting more than 65 breweries, hard cideries, distilleries, craft pubs and wineries in the region.

Brew Central highlights the “Stories on Tap” in the region by way of the written word and video featuring interviews with brewers, distillers and publicans. A “Brewfinder” mapping feature also helps travelers plan a brew road trip in Central New York.

Previously recognized nationally with U.S. Travel Association, Communicator and Telly awards, Brew Central contributed to the $2 billion economic impact Central New York tourism achieved in 2014.

The campaign earned a $500,000 Market NY grant this year to help build on advertising, content marketing and public relations efforts that target the Northeast and East Coast as well as southeastern Ontario, the U.K. and Germany.
